DIY Jewelry Organization

Okay girls, so a couple months ago I got a bunch of jewelry as gifts and I honestly couldn’t figure out what to do with most of it.. since I always forget to wear jewelry since it is usually inside my jewelry vanity. Although it may organize jewelry I feel that it is better for storing things that you don’t usually wear, because you cant openly see anything unless you go through the hassle of opening all of the drawers and digging through everything. So, I began a search for organizing it all in a way were everything will be readily accessible for my sisters and I while getting dressed. We all share jewelry but keep it in my room so I end up having to clean that all up haha After some brainstorming I decided to try out a plywood board. When looking online later I found a cuter way to do this but I was in such a hurry when cleaning my room that I just kept mine simple. You can decorate your jewelry board however you want. Basically, there are a couple of ways to make a jewelry board. Look for random items that have holes, hooks and mesh which will be easy to hook jewelry onto. Below is my set up:

So basically what I did was grab two ply wood boards from my garage, some nails or assorted sizes, and a hammer. Space the nails around the board in what ever way you think will fit the most accessories. Larger nails can be used as hooks for large bracelets or sets of bangles and small nails as hooks for necklaces. Unused bracelets can also be organized on candlesticks.
Most of my earings are hung from a mesh aluminum foil craft thing that I randomly found and has plenty of holes for hooking the earings into. Rings can be stored inside little clear boxes or on plastic hands that you can get from ross.
If you want to get more crafy with the design of your jewelry board buy a used large picture frame with a boarder you like and remove the glass, remove the backing and glue it on to or around your plywood board/cork board which you can spray paint a color you like or cover in a creative fabric. There are many different options for making your board, such as a pegboard base and also tiny decorative knobs instead of nails, so just be creative, and work with what you have! If you want s suuupppeerrr easy way to do it. Just get a normal cork board from walmart, insert the pushpins and hang all your earrings on that!
Here are some images of how people organized their boards:

loving the candle stick for bracelets, they are hard to find. seems like no one uses them now a days. I found a great organizer on etsy.
Great post.
