Hijabi Princess Project: Cinderella and Ariel

Cinderella and Ariel are finally here! They are numbers 3 and 4 in this hijabi princess project.

Cinderella

Cinderella was probably the Disney princess I watched the most when I was younger and without a doubt, she is the most famous. Here is why I love her
  • She is super patient and puts up with that horrible stepmom and stepsisters.
  • She kept on dreaming.
  • She made sure she got the key to get out of the room when her stepmom locked her in. Most girls in the 1950s (when it was made) would sit obediently and take the oppression.
  • She was incredibly kind to animals.
  • In the sequels, she forgives Anastasia for all that she's done to her.
Outfit no. 1: Cinderella the maid

I tried to use the color scheme to mimic her outfit. I love trousers and the oxfords are similar to her shoes. Tuck the blue shirt in the trousers and top off with a nice oversized cardigan. Use the naked palette for a nice natural look!

Outfit no. 2: Pink dress
Personally, I like this dress better than her blue one. Why can't we all have little mice to make us cute clothes? :/
The emphasis on this dress is the shoulders and bows. I used a puffy shouldered dress. I couldn't find one with a bow on it, so I thought it would be neat to wear that blouse with the bow on it under the dress and then take the bow out to give it a little more style. The pearl necklace is just like the one Anastasia ripped in the movie, but instead of wearing it around the neck (It wouldn't show for us hijabis!), put it on top of your hijab. Get creative with it :)

Outfit no. 3 and 4: The ballgown

This dress has lots of sparkles, so I liked it as a fancy dinner outfit. Top a sequin dress/shirt with a white blazer and black skinny jeans.

In case you're going to a wedding, wear the white long sleeve shirt under this gorgeous flowy dress. Pearl bracelets give it the elegant touch. I included plastic (you'd probably break glass) shoes. I also love the pearl clutch and blue eyeshadow!

Ariel

Now I didn't watch The Little Mermaid that often because, well, my dad didn't like her outfit lol but the few times I did I absolutely loved her! Here are reasons why:
  • She's spunky and adventurous,
  • She loves learning
  • She's super passionate
  • She learned to stand her ground
Outfit no. 1: Under the sea

So when I first decided to look for a dress for this, I originally intended to go with a green mermaid dress. I then found this extremely hijabi friendly Versace dress on Pinterest and I'm absolutely in love! We're not all rolling in money, so just go with a green mermaid dress if you must. :) I also love the shell clutch! Make sure you use a lot of pink blush because I feel like Ariel has very pink cheeks.

Outfit no. 2: The Pink Dress

Wear a layered blazer since her dress has a layered effect. I included red pants because of her flaming red hair, but you can stick with black like the model if you want (or a red hijab). I love these Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I included the fork necklace because of the hilarious scene where she brushes her hair with a fork and Eric looks at her funny.

Outfit no. 3: Kiss da girl

I loved this scene cause it was romantic and adorable. I included a white blouse similar to the one she is wearing. You can either tuck it in the trousers or wear it oversized with skinnier pants. I included a turquoise hijab, similar to her skirt. I love the bow in her hair, so stick a navy bow on your hijab! The crab necklace is to pay respects to the famous Sebastian. Her blue eyes stand out especially in this scene so wear blue contacts if you like!

Belle and Jasmine are next! :)

Hope you like them! I take requests, and tell me you think.
